Not this Republican!!!!! But now it is imperative that we vote Obama out of office, so that we may be able to repeal it.....notice I said may be able to repeal it. I don't have much faith any more. A minister told about seeing A picture of Obama getting off an airplane....and the reporter had zoomed in on the picture where Obama had his finger stuck inside, marking a place in the book he was reading and it was titled "POST AMERICA"! This is an example of the type of person who is in our White House and who is destroying our nation and our constitution. This shows the mindset of this President and his intentions to bring America down....and we may ask the question......for whom is he doing this? Who is he working with? ANd from what country did he bring this idea from....to destroy AMerica? He already completely ignores the Constitution, the laws of the land, and the congress.....Acts like a dictator.

Unless Romney (the hypocrite) can win the White House, and the Republicans keep the House, and GAIN the Senate, their will never be a repeal of the Healthcare bill. Republicans will probably keep the House, but I doubt they will be able to get the Senate right now, but who knows... Otherwise Romney is all hot air, just to win (which I think he is anyway, seeing as how Obamacare is MODELED AFTER ROMNEYCARE!).

The Constitution no longer affords any protection from anything. It is my long-held opinion that it will eventually come down to another Revolution, or at least a declaration of independence among certain states which still desire to exist as a Constitutional Republic. That is exactly what South Carolina did in 1860. Yes, we lost that war (for a variety of reasons, including the fact that the North was able to take non-ending masses of immigrants right of the boat, and send them to invade the South), but this is a different age. The Big Media has spent a century and a half vilifying the South and Southerners, trying to make us ashamed of our convictions such as individual liberty, limited constitutional government, and state's rights (by the way, anyone who can READ the Constitution will see that, yes, Calhoun's arguments for state's rights were, and ARE, correct. Jefferson, and many other Founding Fathers believed the same way.) The only protection we have anymore between us, and the Feds, are the states. Currently in S.C., thankfully, we have a few (only a minority), who are both honest and brave, and stand for the constitutional rights of the states, and the people. A couple of those are Sens. Lee Bright and Tom Davis (ESPECIALLY TOM DAVIS!).
What we need, is to elect more folks like them to the Legislature, and the Governor's office. Nikki Haley is a traitorous idiot. (Sorry if that offends anyone, but it is my complete honest opinion.) She has no loyalty to the state. She's a liar. She's dishonest. She can't tell the truth. How else can I put it?
We need statesmen (and women) who will tell the Federal Government where to stick it! When need them to stand up for South Carolina and be an example for other states (mostly in the South) where at least a large portion of the people still believe in personal responsibility and TRUE individual liberty.
Another thing, we will never be truly free until we can provide for our own food. In other words, instead of shipping in tomatoes from Mexico, and beef from Brazil, we need to support LOCAL FARMERS. I implore everyone to please read some of Wendell Berry's work, especially "The Unsettling of America," and also Joel Salatin's "Folks, This Ain't Normal." If you don't understand the dangers of our current food system, those two books will open your eyes! Also, to understand how the constitution was meant to work, read John C. Calhoun's works. I will try to post some of those here on the forum.
*And there's my daily rant...*

Have started some of that reading that you posted Jack, starting with john Calhoun. Good reading and kind of bolsters my ego a little. Let you know about the rest. The "sheriff" and i had alot of medical issues this year {me mainly} but he fully intends to start one of those new gardens next year. No one but the two of us and he says that alot of men he works with are having a great output from their gardens. It is the one that takes smaller space, built within landscape timbers and can be worked around without getting between rows. My part is the gathering and canning, which i enjoy doing. Food put up during the summer seems like alot of bother until you start eating it in the winter months. Nothing can compare, on a cold, blustery day with more bad stuff on the way, to a hearty homemade pot of vegetable soup.
