Well Jack, our "wonderful" administration has sanctioned all such activities in order to protect their presence and I fully expect to see these kinds of incidents unless we can vote in another person to do the job the way it is intended. Problem is , who can be trusted to do the job? Who can we believe in that is currently running for office of the president? It seems to me that the forerunner in this competition is almost a carbon copy of what we already have. I know that it's our duty as citizens to vote our choice but it's going to be next to the hardest thing I'll ever do to vote for Romney. I didn't want Bush as our Pres. but I voted for him to do my part in keeping Obama out of DC

I don't know gunsey. I'm not sure that anything will change no matter which side wins. Bush and some of his minions trampled all over the Constitution many a time as well... Neither side seems to take the Constitution seriously. There are exceptions, such as Ron Paul, Rand Paul, and maybe a few others, but they have been pushed off to the sidelines and tarnished by the media as "extremists." Can you imagine? EXTREMISTS for following and standing up for the law of the land! I wonder if the media was that harsh on the Founding fathers back when they stood up against tyranny.

as usual, you make a good point in asking whether the first or founding fathers faced such opposition. I submit the fact that the tyranny was ever as much imposed, starting out in England and some of the complainers came here too. At some point the people got tired of the movement from tyranny and revisited failed policies I think that people running for office now have so much available in the form of opportunity and resources (media and other modern inventions), more access to the types of resources that the founding fathers didn't have. Just touching on a few things here but these are the things that can be easily perverted, used to an unfair advantage for gain.

Funny you should post something that my grandson was interested in and was searching the internet here today for strange laws and blue laws by states. Didn't run across this 1925 law but found some really strange and bizzare laws that were very old, but still on the books and enforceable.

Stopped at a red light on Floyd Baker Blvd the other night (about 1 am, very little traffic), when one of Gaffney's "finest" drove right on through without stopping (and with NO emergency lights). So it turned green and I gunned it to catch up to him (he was traveling at 50 mph in that 35 mph zone. And where did he go in such a hurry? Just back to the station.
You know what words popped into my mind when I witnessed this? "Lawless criminal, thinks he's above the law." Many respectable cops and their families don't understand why there is such a mistrust (even hatred in some cases) of police officers. THIS IS WHY!
