Looking like I'll have nothing but time for hunting this season.

I went hunting Thursday but was rained out right at dusk. I didn't see anything with fur but saw plenty of feathered friends.

Ooooo ele, i'm glad that they didn't cause you any problems or an accident.
We hear a lot of times on the police monitor that a deer has run into the side of a car or a car has hit a deer.
Mr. Panther and our son went hunting week before last on doe day and got 2.
I would't know what to do if I saw one in my front yard, much less two. That must be exciting. My sister in Rosman, NC, sees bears in her back yard sometimes. That worries me......afraid she is going to be attacked one day. Of course she has her cwp, but what's the chances that she would have it in her hand at the right time around her home when she needs it?

Black Bear attacks are very rare. They generally run when they come in contact with humans.

Hard to believe it's almost hunting season, when it's 90+ degrees out. I have got to get my freezers filled up this year.

Hard to believe it's almost hunting season, when it's 90+ degrees out. I have got to get my freezers filled up this year. That reminds me. In July, we were visiting my brother-in-law (my husband's brother) down the country, and riding around on his property, where he hunts, and has peach trees and scuffodine vines and etc, and we saw a big buck peep around some cornstalks and then took off running and was followed by 5 more deer...some of them doe's. Couldn't hunt at that time. They, like my family, (except me) eat a lot of deer. I taste it once in a while. Maybe I'll get used to it. But he has a nice Private place fixed for his family and friends to hunt. He has small buildings built with windows to shoot out of and a heater and a recliner in it for someone who's not hunting. And he has the regular deer stands too. But those buildings are nice.
