This has turned out to be a "throw out the incumbent" year, unsurprisingly. I had predicted that Bailey Humphries could be beat, but I didn't expect him to be beat so easily. I am a little surprised that Charles Mathis managed to hang on to his seat. It looks to me as though he would not have stood a chance if he had not recently switched parties.
It looks as though Congressman Spratt (5th District) could be up for defeat in the final election against Republican Mick Mulvaney. Some are predicting it will be a close election, or that Spratt might even hold on to his seat, but I don't think so.
