The Haley Admin. is deleting ALL emails, including emails related to state business (except emails between Haley herself and the public). That is obviously contrary to the spirit and letter of the law. This is the same Haley, of course, whom when running for Governor, refused to release her (House Rep.) emails, citing "legislative exemption."
The woman is crooked. She is a hypocrite. She is a liar. And she will probably be re-elected because people do not pay attention...

hmm, that was not what I read - either different articles of different interpretations.
My point was that while it may not be legal in SC government (no excuse for that) but it is common practice in business - SO, one could innocently do this without realizing it was illegal. (Again, ignorance of the law is no excuse - it may be, however, an explanation.)
And, despite the fact that I really like Haley and think she has a great start, I tend to look at the best in everyone - even Clinton. (Really hard with Obama, however - though honestly, I made explanations for many of his goofs as well.)

Both these articles say it is ALL email, except between Haley and the public: www.thestate.com/2011/11/20/2053323/haleys-office-deletes-emails-between.htmlwww.thestate.com/2011/11/20/2052505/by-killing-emails-is-haleys-office.html"Under a policy set by the governor’s office, only emails between the governor and the public are being saved and archived permanently." And in today's news, the First Man wants a wine room in the Gov. mansion... www2.wspa.com/news/2011/nov/25/sc-govs-husband-wanted-wine-chiller-ar-2754735/"Documents reviewed by The Associated Press show South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley's husband wanted a temperature-controlled wine room at the Governor's Mansion. Haley spokesman Rob Godfrey said that plan was never implemented. The email from a Freedom of Information request also shows an executive at one of the state's biggest alcoholic beverage distributors gave the mansion free wine and his company later had a reception with the governor at the mansion. Ben Arnold Co. executive vice president Mike Sisk and his company did not respond to interview requests. Campaign finance reports show Sisk and the company gave Haley's campaign more than $12,000. State Democratic Party Chairman d**k Harpootlian said the Haleys should have been thinking about the state's big problems with schools and health care instead of a wine cellar."

Well, I think too many are listening to Hartpootleon and Fitsnews who have been after our governor....way before she won the election. I don't put much stock in Fits....and I think way too many people do, by believe everything he says.
Hartpootleon went on Fox News talking hateful about Nikki Haley when she was running. When he was supposed to be giving his opinion about the topic of that segment, he jumped off on Nikki Haley and how she wasn't fit to be governor and the host had to tell him, "We aren't talking about Nikki Haley, please stick to the topic." His face had the most hateful look on it when he was talking about her. Just shows how he is obsessed with her. And I think he has a lot to do with watching every step the Gov. takes and then finding something he can squawk about and reporting it to the news and continuously digging up stuff. A lot of stuff that was told, was worthless.
Hartpootleon needs to get a life and look at his own faults, since it is so obvious how he constantly focuses on her and bringing her down. I really believe he had a determination that if she won, he would try to ruin it some way.....some how. And I think that is what is happening here....him carrying out his plan. I can't stand to see, much less hear, that man when he comes on TV, because of all his hate he has built up against her. That is one thing that drove me to vote for her.....the way people were accusing her and dissecting her every move and finding fault, baseless fault.
While I don't agree with every little thing that is done by the Gov, I believe people are being a bit overbearing and jumping to a lot of concusions....wrong conclusions....while criticizing her.
I don't agree with a wine room, or cellar....whatever it was.

I don't even know who Hartpootleon is... I do know about Fitsnews, and it's editor. He's a friend of mine. And no, he was not after Haley (he is now, because of her record as Gov). Actually, he endorsed her (prior to her lying about their relationship, and then destroying all taxpayer funded email from her House email account). He was Sanford's first paid worker when he ran for Gov the first time, and in Jenny Sanford's book, she said he was "worth his weight in gold."
You're right, I do criticize this Governor, I tend to do that when they repeatedly break the law, sell out this state, lie, hire family and friends for important jobs, etc....
