I'm from Cleveland County and i had a job down in gaffney today and man, driving around the heart of gaffney feels like driving straight into redneckville/africa.
I live in Casar, but shelby is so much nicer then gaffney also...
PS:Your roads are terrible

Hey CCounty, Gaffney ain't bad, you could find something there you liked if you tried. Wanna get depressed just go to Union-wheweeee!! I can't go there without thinking of the susan smith ordeal. BTW, the roads are terrible almost everywhere i go around this county. It's not for the lack of tax-payer funds either. SC taxpayers are supposed to be keeping the roads up but there's always that wonderful bunch in Columbia that oversees this so it is never enough, i don't care what new tax they put on us. NC seems to handle the roads deal a whole lot better.

CCounty, you can find cluttered spots in any county, don't you know?
You must have missed all the pretty homes they have in Gaffney.
I comment on them every time we go through.

Same here in Campobello, Pinky. We've got some beautiful places up here closest to the mountains but there are some sore spots too. I'm realizing that some folks aren't able to keep their places up but you can tell usually who they are. Older folks with no one to help them and financially strapped. Then there's the other element that really doesn't give two hoots how they live. Better stop here or I'll go off on a rabbit trail, sure 'nuff.

"redneckville/africa"
Wouldn't that sort of be a contradiction?
I've spent my share of time in Shelby, and know where some of your very own slums are... And I worked in the downtown area... you ever been down some of those backstreets? Apparently not. And traffic, geesh, Floyd Baker Blvd. ain't nothin' compared to the mess up there.
