LOL Trust me on this you have a far better chance of winning the lottery the next six drawings than seeing a "Black Panther".

RR, several people in that area claim to have seen black panthers at different times. Can't imagine the preacher's wife telling an out-and-out lie about it.
I remember when i was in elementary school of an honest to goodness story that was reported by the news on TV and even a newspaper article written about a black panther being in our area. Oh, the news was warning people to stay close at home after dark, as that's when the most problem was being noted. Dogs were being killed, reports of strange noises, furniture being turned over on people's porches. It turned out after a couple of weeks that TWO black panthers were in the area. They had escaped from a circus in Charlotte. They were captured after several weeks. Back then, you couldn't pay us kids to venture out past dark, especially to the garbage cans.

Black Panther is actually a Jaguar which has never lived in this part of America. My dad says he saw one also. I don't what they have seen but I'd be willing to bet my life its not a wild panther.

Well the ones that were from the circus way back when are easily enough to explain but i'm skeptical about the ones supposedly seen around here. I'd have to see one myself to be really sure.
But the news station reporting it as factual? Even if it was FOX? Still, the first thing we bought when we bought our house here is new cell phones. There's no way I'd venture out after dark around here. There's some pretty long, lonely stretches of roads here and very dark. Cell phones were not all either. Couldn't go out around here after dark without my pistol and had to get my permit to carry too after we moved here. The stretch of road I live on has no businesses and no street lights. Love it though.

Just heard the news @ 5:30 on Fox news and it was announced that a black panther was loose near the Tigerville area and alot of people have called in saying that they had seen it. Warnings are for the general area of Dark corners, which incompasses the area of Campobello, Landrum and Tigerville-all are in pretty close proximity of the other ones. Be careful on going out, especially at night. A lady I went to church with told me last summer that they spotted black panthers before in the area around the church at Glassy Mtn. Also bears, which we all saw at church one night last fall. It was running around the parking lot and my brother-in-law and my sis were visiting us that night and he spoke to us and pointed out the window. Asked, "is that what I think it is"? We got a good laugh out of that one. Was that any of my kin
