Well as long as it is my civic duty, a vote for Romney won't kill me though I believe I'd have to go straight out and throw up somewhere. I could write someone else in too but as long as Romney has the most delegates he'll most likely win and I think we should gather behind whichever one is likely to win. He'll need it to go aginst Obama. We surely need to get Obama out of office. I said this and the last time I said anything like this my pc has all but quit. If I don't get to post for a few days, y'all will know what happened.

Ron Paul is still pushing for necessary reform and changes to the GOP platform. One of the few honest to God statesmen left on the national scene!

Here's something to think about: The Federal and state governments of America spend almost a trillion dollars a year on "welfare" programs... And, that's about what the annual budget deficit is right now. Hmmm...

Paul Ryan is VP pick.
A few problems with Ryan:
He voted to make permanent the un-Patriot Act. He voted for TARP. He voted for bailouts of GM and Chrysler. After attending a meeting with the Fed on the banking crises, he (that very day) sold shares in troubled banks and bought shares in Goldman Sachs. (If that ain't insider trading, then what the hell is???)
Kinda makes the Republicans look like hypocrites, not that it matters in politics, I suppose.

Here's something to think about: The Federal and state governments of America spend almost a trillion dollars a year on "welfare" programs... And, that's about what the annual budget deficit is right now. Hmmm... I have mixed feelings about the welfare system. I have never thought that the system shouldn't be there, but that it should be meted out to only the most dire cases of need. Without going all over that statement, there has been times passed that the needs were not as severe as they are now and it seemed as if too many people were taking advantage of programs that weren't really in dire need. Big government needs to bring jobs back and put our people to work. The folks coming here from Mex. and other places will be a big expenditure as far as welfare. They will get aid from these programs and we are already in the hole. Doesn't make sense to let them all come here in view of the fact that we will have to borrow to keep them afloat.

Oh, it matters but who is the crowned liar in the WH right now? I would not have chosen Ryan over at least one or two others that were on the VP hopeful list.
Guess we will just have to decide whether it is worth the risk of having four more years of out-and-out lying and vote for what-if the next 4 years will be different with different players. It's worth it to me to cast my vote as anti-Obama. For that matter, any one in the cabinet that we can vote for that has not spoken any better for us than Ryan has. We really don't know until any of them are elected and on their jobs, how they will represent us. We can only hope that each succeeding term will be better than the last.

The major qualification to be President or Vice President, in my opinion, is whether or not the person will uphold the Constitution of the United States, as they swear to do. The first thing on my list (he supported the "Patriot" Act), tells me that Paul Ryan does NOT uphold the Constitution. Neither do 99% of the other fools "representing" us. Sad but true. The lessor of two evils is still evil. I truly am afraid that we live in a nation of idiots, who would give up freedom for security.
